John D. Orr is an entrepreneur, banking executive, lawyer, and investment professional.
Mr. Orr is the Co-Chairman of FutureVault and its past Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Orr has over 25 years of financial services experience. Mr. Orr spent the majority of his career at CIBC, serving in the most senior leadership positions across the bank.
His most recent role was as Executive Vice President responsible for the group’s strategy and corporate development functions and its merchant banking business.
Previously, he was a Managing Director in CIBC's investment bank, Head of CIBC’s International Retail Banking operations, and as the Chief Executive Officer of two subsidiary banks: Amicus Bank, offering the President’s Choice Financial product suite, and FirstCaribbean International Bank.
Prior to his career in banking, Mr. Orr practiced law in Toronto, specializing in Corporate Securities, and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Mr. Orr received a BA in Economics and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario and a law degree from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
